World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.
If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase an additional 3% of the previous damage every time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost rises with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them; the item must be at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special type of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
item upgrading may include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for instance 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with fewer Upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level with normal methods.
A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of the weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.
Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher tier version of an item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even if they are unsure how much it can be improved upon a reset.
The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it's possible that the item will become obsolete or even break if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the chance of failure, and some upgrades that offer an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as you can to level 15.
In the final game, you will often find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15, and they provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes more quickly.
The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.
Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a statistic by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the many Glyphs as well as some rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in key spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their primary damage nodes.
Leveling
The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the power of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item. Once enough are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. The same armor will be upgraded to an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This can be a downside, as the item can increase in price even if you do not need it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a completely different set of bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it shouldn't be repeated often, as it could waste lots of resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like a dolphin). The item can be upgraded many times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP, as the best version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.
Requirements
The item upgrade r lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor, weapons trinkets, and armor) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to revert to its initial condition, which requires the user to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.
If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any gained bonuses such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase it will be applied before any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is computed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its value. For instance, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires an individual amount of ingredients for upgrading.
