Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade
Item upgrade, also called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts the stat linearly.
Players can recycle up to six items at a time in order to gain an indicator of the level of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item varies with its rarity and level.
Upgrade components
An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can increase the power of your armor and weapons. This can be accomplished by many different methods such as using upgrade components and upgrading an item's mark level or rarity. Additionally, many items can be reforged to increase their stats.
Upgradeable items are available in the game, both within the world and as rewards for missions. They can also be made by players. Upgrade components are the main method of upgrading equipment. These are the items that slot into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with upgrade slots, and the majority require a certain level of upgrade. Some upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while other components offer general bonuses.

There are a variety of upgrade components available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, such as gemstones and enchantments, can be placed in any kind of equipment and offer fewer bonuses than those that are equipment type specific. Glyphs can only be placed in gathering tools and provide various bonuses, from increasing the speed at which an item gathers to providing additional crafting materials.
To upgrade an item, simply select it in your inventory and open the Upgrade window. The preview will be displayed on the right hand side of the screen. It will show the expected statistics after the upgrade. The Upgrade button at the bottom will be labeled as Blocked if you don't have enough of or.
The upper-right corner displays the number of upgrade components required for an item. The cost of upgrading increases with the level of the upgrade and its rarity, however it can be reduced through a variety of ways, such as purchasing upgrades from a vendor or trading them to other players.
Many weapons can be improved by adding a prefix, such as a rune, or an insignia. Other weapons can be improved with the suffix. These upgrades change the name of the item, adding an adjective, like "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor. The only exceptions are the non-inscribable wands, the shields and foci from the Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which cannot be upgraded with any kinds of mods.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to convey visual information. They are animated to grab the attention of the viewers and trigger curiosity in the brain. The animation of glyphs mimics the body language and makes them more effective in transmitting the message of a language barrier. Glyphs can also trigger a feeling of familiarity in the brain, which increases retention of the message.
Each glyph increases a stat's value by a certain range. This is shown on the item's page when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This isn't the actual amount by the glyph can increase the stat, but rather the maximum value by which it is able to do so. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and the quality of the item you are enchanting it to.
The majority of upgrade components installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without removing them except for legendary upgrades and equipment. If you have a rune or glyph you don't want to use, but it's not been applied to gear yet, you can transfer the item to another piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create the new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.
If you want to remove a glyph from a piece of then you'll need to salvage it with an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item will be destroyed that it was installed in however, you can salvage the upgraded item by using the glyph and its fragments, therefore it should not be considered a loss.
When you remove an item after adding a glyph the shards of that glyph will disappear. You can also add an inscription to your equipment to give it a bonus. For example the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and distribute it slowly rather than all at one time. This is helpful for players who are taking many hits from enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens let players alter the affixes on their weapons and equipment and they can be obtained in various ways like mistery boxes or as an uncommon drop from skulled creatures, or by killing bosses. Every reroll grants the player an affix randomly chosen and typically better than what they had before. Reroll tokens are also a good way to reroll weapon stats, which can be upgraded to increase damage or additional perks.
Rerolled items are not listed in the menu of upgrade options, but they can be upgraded. These rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button which alters the appearance of the window and allows up to six items to be chosen to recycle. Recycling an item adds small amount of points to its level gauge. This amount is determined by the item's rarity as well as its own level, so items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.
Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll Weapon Traits to upgrade units. A reroll will roll the % chance of a weapon trait; if it rolls higher, the weapon is upgraded, and if it is lower, it remains the same. Weapons can be repeatedly rolled up to three times.
Rerolling is a fantastic option to upgrade an item. However, players should be aware of the fact that the total ilvl will be reduced by the number that it took to reroll it to the final level. This reduction effect is most effective for ring items and Diadems, which have no alternatives to raise their ilvls.
Some players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It's more fair to allow players to pay for it with cash or food items which will allow them to make changes to their builds without spending too much time. However, paid rerolls are not something that the developers would like to incorporate at this point in the game's development. Instead, they're planning to add an ability to change races in the future.
Leveling
There are several ways to upgrade an item. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade, which increases the upgrade value of the stat. The alternative is to increase the effect of an upgrade, which increases the healing or damage for a stat. The base item can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. The upgraded item will maintain its iLevel but have the upgraded effects of the upgraded item.
When upgrading your items, it is important to remember that upgrades are random. In most cases, a better roll will be derived from glyphs, however there are also possibilities for higher or more special rolls. The type of the item will determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a rare or unique item to a specific item type, it has a chance of gaining a higher level.
Upgrades can be costly, especially if you are upgrading equipment from the standard track to the legendary. The price will depend on the item's base iLevel and the number of upgrade levels it has. In addition, some upgrade tracks require crests to get to the next upgrade level.
If you're lucky, your upgraded item will reach the maximum level of its upgrade track and gain a bonus effect. item upgrader will provide a significant boost in the upgrade value of the item. The bonus effect changes with each upgrade level. In general the upgrade effect is increased by a value of +3.
Depending on the item's base level and its upgrade process, the iLevel for the upgraded item will change as well. For instance, an item that is upgraded from being a rare or unique item to an outstanding one can be expected to gain the enhanced defense of the new base item.
